The Berkeley Partnership

Berkeley runs the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge

Blessed by sunshine, Berkeley spectators pitched their picnic blanket to watch a massive 12,724 participants from 305 companies sprint, jog or stagger their way around the 5.6km course. 27 runners flew the Berkeley flag to raise funds for race charity Sports Aid. And though many thought the result would be a foregone conclusion, there was a shock at the finish. Three-time consecutive Berkeley winner Ed Furness was forced to retire from the race through injury at the 2km mark, leaving the path clear for consultant Rob Warner to seize the Berkeley championship crown.  Rob’s winning Berkeley time of 24.08 was a personal best. Well done Rob!
