The Berkeley Partnership

Profile

I was doomed to a technical career from the age of 8 when I received my first home PC. I find computers easy to understand and, seeking an easy route to a degree and a good time at University, studied for a BSC in Computer Systems Engineering from Nottingham in 1999.

I've always worked for small to medium sized companies as I find them more personable and I like to know everyone by name.  I also enjoy the breadth of skills that are required as an IT Manager in this environment.  One day I can be resetting a password, the next I'll have been in the office for 24 hours restoring an e-mail server.

I moved to Berkeley in 2005.  The main reason was the challenge of supporting consultants, who always seem to think up ingenious new ways of using IT equipment in ways it was not designed for.

Volleyball is my sport of choice, as both a referee and player I partake in the London and National leagues.  When I find the time I also enjoy hiking and camping.
