The Berkeley Partnership

Profile

At an early age, realising that I wasn’t going to cut it as a professional footballer was a great shock to me, so I had to go to Leeds University and read International History and Politics instead. This first career shock was followed by another, as I discovered there wasn’t much money to be made from primary research into Balkan history.

A career in accountancy at Price Waterhouse beckoned instead, and my first step on the career ladder was taken in qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Life in a big six audit practice was far too exciting for me, so I joined PW Consulting in 1997, soon after passing my finals. There then followed 4 employer changes without ever actually applying for a job, PWC, PWC Consulting, Monday (for a couple of weeks), then finally IBM had the pleasure of my company.

I joined Berkeley in 2005 and have found myself in a place where strong opinions are encouraged, positive thinking is a must and a competitive 5-a-side football game is a regular option.  I’ve worked for a variety of diverse and interesting clients, including most of the big UK mobile companies, a couple of US film studios and since joining Berkeley have expanded my multi-sector experience to include 'Big Oil'.
