What's new

It's July, it must be Corporate Challenge

And so it is that we crown a new Berkeley Corporate Challenge Champion! Once again, 25 intrepid Berkeley runners took to the park for the 24th annual JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge - a 5.6k run around Battersea Park. The event, which this year featured some 25,433 runners and walkers from 622 companies over two days, helped raise money for Help a London Child, a charity providing financial support to grass-root projects for London’s less advantaged children.

Massive congratulations to Simon Bampfylde who, on his debut, stole the coveted cup from Neil (always the bridesmaid, never the bride) McClumpha. His time of 23.30 meant Neil had to be content with second place, while Matt Kind took the third podium spot.

Matt gets extra credit for improving on his previous running time by 2 minutes. Everyone else got worse! A fact they blame on the scorching 28 degree heat. Excuses, excuses...  it couldn't have been a drop in fitness now could it? Check out more pictures in our gallery.
