The past few months have been a busy time for recruitment at Berkeley Towers and, since November last year, a host of new faces have graced the red pillars of Blandford Street and more recently 48 Chancery Lane! So a big welcome then to our new joiners whose combined experience spans over 40 years. Wow!
For their complete profiles, please check out that section of the website or hover over their names below, but as a “getting to know you better” exercise, we asked about their likes and dislikes:
Likes: Butternut Squash, puddings and horse riding on Sunday mornings.
Dislikes: Celery, fresh pineapple raisins and sacrificing her lie-in to do afore mentioned horse-riding.
Anything else we should know Annette? I have been known to drive a moped and support Arsenal FC.
Ed Mackey
Likes: Being outside in the sunshine, meat, meat and more meat
Dislikes: Not so keen on horses and considers them superfluous in 2009. (Anything to say Annette?)
Anything else we should know Ed? I found out the hard way that in Italy, big angry wood bees hibernate in fire wood.
Kate Boddington
Likes: Food and wine and the fact that London’s spiders are small.
Dislikes: Big Australian spiders and pears!
Anything else we should know Kate? My family background is Scottish, from clan MacLeod. The clan motto is "Hold Fast", so there.
Jan Mueller
Likes: Nice food, good conversations with friends (usually over a bottle of wine), inner-city life (e.g. London) and nice round of golf in the sunshine
Dislikes: London tube strikes (and the resulting chaos from it), never-ending small talk and not getting to the point, jogging or going to the gym
Anything else we should know Jan? Coming from Germany, I struggled with not being able to jump in the car and drive to other countries when I moved to London, but I'm slowly getting used to it…
Jeroen Hodges
Likes: Long sunny weekends, watching AVFC and a sprinkling of DIY.
Dislikes: Short rainy weekends and hangovers!
Anything else we should know Jeroen? After a few years working in Oman, offshore in Norway, Siberia (almost), I'm enjoying a distinctly ordinary life of bliss - 2.2 kids and a wife in Wandsworth Common.
Simon Bampfylde
Likes: The view of London from Waterloo bridge, throwing a Frisbee around in the park, starting a new book, good food
Dislikes: Range Rovers and Haute Cuisine (see preference for good food)
Anything else we should know Simon? I tend not to get on with cats and dogs, something that makes me unpopular!
Stuart Greenwood
Likes: Ale, pottering about in chemistry labs.
Dislikes: Cold, fizzy beer (no, we don’t get it either).
Anything else we should know Stuart? Give me a few hours and I’ll convince you that Milton Keynes is a good place to live!
