Let’s hear it for the Boyes
And as the classic tune continues – “let’s give the Boy (es) a hand”. In this case, it’s both congratulatory applause and a farewell wave for partner Andy Boyes who, after 17 years at Berkeley, is moving on to pastures new.
Andy is swapping London life for a challenging new role in financial services, and relocating to Edinburgh to be closer to family and a wider selection of single malts.
During his time at Berkeley, Andy supported most of the firm’s largest clients – his work with leading European derivatives exchange LIFFE made the headlines for all the right reasons. And his wider experience shaping and delivering the toughest programmes faced by an international retailer and a global energy group will stand him in good stead to take on those bankers!
Andy also made a massive contribution to the firm socially. With true Northern grit he defended England against France in our wine tasting competitions, and more vocally (and frequently), Preston North End’s Championship form!
Clients and friends will all be sad to see Andy Plandy (as some knew him) go, but we wish him all the very best North of the border- we’ve no doubt he will be successful and bring a tremendous amount of fun wherever he goes!
