My specialty is supporting clients through challenging change programmes, often focusing on the Business to IT integration challenge and on change management.
After graduating from Bradford University with a fondness for Chicken Jalfrezi and a degree in International Management and Spanish, I joined Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture) in the spring of 1998. I spent nine years working for various FTSE 100 companies in ever demanding system implementation and change management roles mainly in the utility and energy sectors with a brief sojourn into online media and communications.
I heard about Berkeley through a number of friends who worked here. I was attracted by the mix of strategy and delivery work, the opportunity to work at more senior levels in a relationship-based business and the opportunity to work with passionate, dedicated colleagues who want to do what’s right for the client whilst being part of a supportive and fun community. I joined in late 2007 with a view to broadening my industry experience and deepening my consulting and project/change management skills.
Over the last 6 years I’ve experienced a huge variety of interesting and challenging roles across public healthcare (GP Commissioning, Urgent Care strategy implementation), private healthcare (private hospital business development operating model), energy/oil & gas (migration of aging web-hosting infrastructure supporting corporate.com website to the cloud) and Pharmaceuticals (supported HR implementation of largest employee recognition programme in the Pharma industry with 70k employees in 10 languages across 170 sites in 113 countries).
Outside of work I’d like to say that I enjoy tennis and mountain biking in the Surrey hills, but since getting married to my wife and having my young son Oliver, that’s all gone out of the window and I now spend my time looking for the Gruffalo in our local woods instead.
