I am originally from Sydney, Australia, and joined The Berkeley Partnership in early 2009.
My background is Metallurgical Engineering and I started my career working at BHP Steel in various operations and process improvement roles over a period of five years. The projects were extremely hands-on and usually involved a hard hat, steel capped boots and plenty of dirt! My most exciting role was being part of a Blast Furnace commissioning team, doing in-furnace testing at rather odd hours.
I moved to Andersen Consulting in 2000 and spent 8 years working on large scale transformation programmes for a variety of clients in the Utilities and Energy sectors. During this time I was fortunate to work in interesting locations including India, Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands and the US. I have experience across the project lifecycle for system implementations and offer expertise in Enterprise Integration and SAP.
In my spare time I enjoy being actively involved in community work and the non-profit sector. This has led to me getting roped into fundraising events such as running half marathons and trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Fortunately I am a big foodie and offset such efforts by spending a lot of time in London’s wonderful pubs and restaurants.
