Simon Bampfylde
Consultant
I started my consulting career with Capgemini in 2003 after graduating from Cambridge University and then completing my postgrad degree at the London School of Economics. It was the variety of work that first attracted me to consulting, and my experiences have definitely been varied. Setting up a new telecom company in Eastern Europe, designing new IT processes in a grey Telford Business Park, or working in the glamorous global headquarters of a major fashion brand; consulting has let me experience a range of sectors and project roles around the world.
I joined Berkeley in 2009 attracted by the intelligent smiling people, and the feeling that this company was genuinely a bit different from the typical consulting firm. Since joining I have had a chance to work with some really talented colleagues on some great client projects, and I’ve had a huge amount of fun while doing it!
Outside of work I am a cinema and book geek, and I have developed an addiction to Triathlon racing in several each year. However my first passion will always be skiing and snowboarding in the mountains, and I recently took several months off work to spend a season jumping out of helicopters in British Columbia.
