Having spent three years studying at the University of Wales, Swansea and one year at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, I graduated with a degree in Management Science in 2001. I then concluded the most sensible course of action would be to continue to procrastinate paying back my ever-increasing student debt by travelling and working abroad for another year before finally joining Accenture in London in 2002.

The most interesting of my projects was in the development sector where I was fortunate enough to work with six inspirational sports-based charities and was responsible for delivering projects in Tanzania, Cambodia, The Balkans, India, Colombia and Venezuela all within a 6 month period! Most of my roles, however, were within the Energy and Utility industries, where I have worked with companies such as BP, Shell and EDF Energy. Despite working locations such as Romford, Reading and Uxbridge being somewhat less exotic, I always felt privileged to work on interesting projects with such leading companies. After a number of years, I had carved out something of a specialism in managing the business change associated with large scale transformation programmes.

After leaving Accenture, I naturally squeezed in a few more months of travel before joining Berkeley in 2011. I was initially attracted by the opportunity to take on a wider variety of roles in a broader range of industries, but quickly realised that of equal appeal was the way that Berkeley works with clients in such a close, trust-based, collaborative way and the strong values and ethics that underpins everything it does.

I live in St. Albans in Hertfordshire with my partner, Sarah, and dog, Poppy. When I’m not at work, I enjoy skiing, diving, DIY, riding motorcycles and, as you may have already noticed, I love to travel!
