I am a founding partner of Berkeley and get real pleasure out of seeing how we have developed over 20 years and how we are continuing to broaden and strengthen our reputation. In fact, we're setting our sights higher now than ever.
In recent years my own focus has been on further building our strategy work. I find it fascinating that whilst the underlying principles of strategy remain the same, they can be applied in an almost infinite variety of ways, so as to achieve success in a given situation with a particular leadership team. The key questions, and the approach to tackle them, need to be thought through every time. And there is a huge satisfaction in helping a leadership team to come together around a really strong shared vision, knowing what they need to do to get there.
Out of work, I’m keen on sport – mainly tennis and rugby. Playing the former and watching the latter - definitely not the other way round. And with children approaching the age when they will leave home I’m hoping to do even more of both. Plus, to the continuing disapproval of my family, I like to sing.
