What’s different about Berkeley for you?

The first observation was how much each partner talked about their family, which seemed like a good sign in terms of alignment to my personal values. My second observation came after six months at the firm during my review, when I was asked what types of projects I wanted to try in order to achieve my goal…and it was actually realized.

What’s the most surprising thing you learned at Berkeley?

The resourcing of projects is a thoughtful process that considers both your interest and development goal. Previous experiences led me to believe I had very little control over my career, but leadership at Berkeley actively asks and more importantly listens to the consultants in the loading process.

3  What are your goals and aspirations?

When I look back at my life, I want to be able to say that I have contributed positively, even if minutely, to change the world for the better. Whether it is climate change or income inequality, I want to be a small part of challenging our existing accepted systems and improving the life of someone, somewhere.
