We’re about being there for our clients when it really matters. When it absolutely has to be right. Doing the right thing is both our ethos and sweet spot. And it’s why clients turn to us again and again.

It's the people that make Berkeley different to other consultancies.
Bright, friendly, down-to-earth people who are both thinkers and doers. Working by your side, as consultants and colleagues, to get the right results.
Whatever your long term career goals, we’re here to support you. Through an open dialogue, we help our people to build the capabilities, experiences and networks they need to boost their careers.
Founded in 1990, The Berkeley Partnership is an independent management consultancy. Based in London and New York, we work with many household names and global organisations helping them to develop strategies and transform their business. In doing so, we are often at the heart of them
achieving their most ambitious goals.
From the very beginning, we have always taken a different approach to consultancy. We work within and as part of our client's leadership teams rather than looking in from the outside. We bring ideas, challenge and experience, tailoring our approach rather than applying the same methodology again and again. We are outcomes-focused, wanting to create lasting legacies through what we deliver and the way that we work. Over 30 years later, this blueprint for success continues to attract clients from a wide range of sectors. We’re proud to say that over 90% of our work comes from repeat business and referrals and more than 85% of clients have used us more than once.
We have a very thorough recruitment process and only take on consultants who are experienced transformation professionals (on average, our consultants will have around 14 years' experience, while the average for our partners is 20+). By handpicking the right consultant for each role, we match relevant skills and experience with our clients' needs and provide the development opportunities that our people are looking for. This allows us to tailor our approach, leveraging our experience to focus on the uniqueness of our clients rather than solely relying on standard methodologies. We also put a great deal of emphasis on ensuring that our consultants fit in and build the collaborative relationships that enable them to work effectively.
We are always prepared to take a hands-on management role to ensure that change is delivered effectively. We take pride in our ability to work as an extension of our clients’ leadership teams, binding together stakeholders to drive cross- organisation activity. Our embedded, collaborative approach enables us to assemble and manage the right team to get the job done, but we always ensure that our clients remain in control, with us providing the balance of support and constructive challenge that enables them to be effective leaders.
With Berkeley there is only ever one agenda, and that is our client's agenda. As an independently owned and financed consultancy with no commercial ties or alliances, we focus solely on delivering our best objective and impartial advice. We don't have sales targets or pay bonuses that would distract us from doing what's right for our clients and we have deliberately managed our growth over the years; growing organically rather than through acquisition, to ensure the values and culture that make us different are retained.
We work across the full transformation lifecycle from strategy development through to delivering large-scale change programmes. Our ambition is always to be working on our clients' most complex challenges, helping them to shape and implement the changes that really matter to their business. We deploy all-round problem solvers to partner with clients every step of the way; whether that be injecting fresh perspective to strategy setting, harnessing new technologies to effectively meet future challenges, or establishing the right organisation for operational efficiency.
Long term relationships have always been at the heart of our business. Through our commitment to quality, we focus on what really matters – creating strategies and delivering programmes that will leave a lasting legacy. Transformation isn’t a throwaway consultancy term; it means making a tangible, lasting difference for our clients and helping their people to be better prepared for future challenges.
We opened our second office in 2016, in response to clients’ increasingly global transformation needs. Our ambition for New York remains simple: to take the Berkeley DNA, honed over 30 years in London, to service clients in the US on their most critical and complex challenges. With strong links between our offices, Berkeley now serves both local and international clients seamlessly on both sides of the Atlantic.
Long term client relationships are at the heart of our business. As a result, we are proud to say that over 90% of our work comes from repeat business and referrals.
We aim to foster a warm, open culture of belonging that enables our people to fulfil their potential, no matter their background, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or working style.
Our people have interests and causes they want to support beyond their day-to-day work, so we make every effort to help them achieve this.
