Europe’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – which brings greater privacy protection for individuals and comes with hefty fines for failure to comply – has been looming for some time.
While it’s true that there are implications that you should be concerned about, it’s not necessarily as scary as some commentators have implied. The chances are that your organisation does a lot of data protection compliance work already, so GDPR won’t prove a massive leap. But you shouldn’t bury your head in the sand either.
