Following a degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, (with a healthy dose of Philosophy thrown in), I joined Accenture as a graduate where I stayed for close to nine years, before joining Berkeley in 2013.
My main industry focus has been Retail and Energy Trading where I spent six years at a major energy company integrating site systems, central office applications and SAP, as well as delivering trade transaction monitoring and surveillance solutions for Compliance. I’ve also spent some time working in Government and Health and Life Sciences delivering an information management strategy for the Olympics and a digital x-ray archiving solution for the NHS.
I wouldn’t consider myself a ‘techy’, but I love the challenge of taking many different systems, processes and data sets and creating and delivering a well-designed and thought out solution to address complex and challenging business problems.
I’m married although we have no kids as yet, which gives me plenty of time to indulge my passions which revolve around cycling, staying fit and eating out with friends (the first two managing to somewhat balance out the latter!)
