After graduating from the University of Cambridge with a degree in History in 2009, my enthusiasm for working with people and willingness to travel led me to Deloitte Consulting, where I spent eight years working in the Strategy & Operations Consulting practice. Whilst there I worked leading teams within the Public Sector, providing analysis to senior level stakeholders to support strategic direction and complex business cases. This ranged from shaping the technology to support the London Olympic Games, to estimating the costs of dismantling nuclear submarines, how to manage out of control multi-£bn equipment programmes, and using analytics and visualisation software to guide the Canadian Government in policy decision-making.
I joined Berkeley in May 2017 because I wanted to broaden my experience across new industries and clients – and be able to use best practice experience from different sectors to add even greater value to a range of interesting and exciting clients. As important to me though, was the people I’d met at Berkeley, who were both very evidently good at their jobs, but also genuine, sincere and friendly, and living those Berkeley values which make it such a great place to work.
Outside of work, I live in Camberwell in South London live with my wife, and when it suits it to come home, cat. I do my best to keep active, with a range of activities including playing football (averagely), cycling (slowly), and skiing (uncontrollably fast). I also enjoy watching stand-up comedy and supporting Leyton Orient football club, but am currently finding it hard to work out which of these is more laughable.
