I studied International Marketing, French and Spanish at Dublin City University and, after qualifying, spent two and a half years working for Lloyds TSB Retail Banking. Having enjoyed working on a variety of projects during that time, I decided to make the move into management consulting - and full time project life - and joined Accenture in 1997.
The following ten years took me all over the world and across several industry sectors working for clients including Unilever, Fox Pathe, a pharmaceuticals start up, Sainsbury’s and Diageo. My proudest moment from that time was putting all of Diageo's European Supply Chain live on SAP. A huge, but satisfying, challenge.
I joined Berkeley in February 2007, and since joining, have been fortunate enough to work on a series of incredibly interesting engagements including helping an energy major re-invent its approach to graduate recruitment, supporting a global manufacturing company as it over hauled its approach to learning and helping formulate UK government policy. Most recently, I have worked with the board of an international financial regulator transforming its culture and led the work for a global consumer goods manufacturer to create a cutting edge Analytics capability which lets them understand their markets as never before (and, in the process, come to understand more than I ever wanted to about how I shop!)
On the way, I have also become a qualified executive coach and enjoy working with people at the most senior levels, helping them bring their best to bear on the most challenging and demanding situations.
….while each engagement has been very different, I’d like to think one of the strengths I bring to all of them is an ability to work well across a variety of different cultures while still "getting the job done" in a way that leaves people feeling good about what we have achieved together and how we have done it.
