I left the University of Nottingham in 2001 with a degree in Mathematics and an ongoing love triangle with my old friends, sport and beer. My first job was as a systems engineer at BAE Systems; supporting the delivery of major defence programmes. A desire for greater variety of work and progression took me to Accenture; where I worked for seven years across the Communications, Media and Technology sectors.
I was approached about Berkeley in 2011 and haven’t looked back. I was immediately impressed by the open, fun culture and sense of community. This, the variety of work and Berkeley’s focus on doing the right thing for the client really resonated with me. It offered something that wouldn’t be available at a large consultancy, for an employee or clients.
Outside work revolves around my daughter, Katherine; and my better-half, Jenny. I’m making some not-too-subtle attempts to get Katherine into sports early; so that I can become an over-competitive dad. Whilst my rugby-playing days are over, I still try to find time for skiing, cycling, tennis and golf, plus the odd bottle of beer/wine.
