Having graduated from Leeds University with a Master’s degree in engineering, I decided to pursue a career in management consulting, so joined Accenture in 2005. I spent the next few years working on a range of large IT transformations, largely for Financial Services clients. Then came the 2008 banking crisis and the flux in the industry that followed. I was fortunate enough to work on a number of headline projects including the merger of Lloyds Bank and HBOS.
During this time I moved to PwC’s growing consulting practice where I had the fascinating opportunity to work on the administration of Lehman Brothers. Following this, I supported a number of the UK’s largest retail and investment banks to strategically transform to remain competitive in the new environment. This included working with the regulators to review the IT and operational resilience of some of the UK’s most systemically critical banks.
I joined The Berkeley Partnership because the culture and found the focus on doing the right thing for the client really appealing. I’m looking forward to using my consulting and problem solving skills for a wide range of projects and clients.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time looking after Isla, my 15-month old daughter. I’m also a keen cook, enjoy scuba diving (though only where the water is clear and the sun is shining!) and have recently started to learn to sail.
