I graduated in 2003 from Loughborough University with a Masters Degree in Marketing & Management having read English Literature as an undergrad. I decided to try my hand at management consultancy as it utilised skills from both sets of study, and joined Accenture a few months later.
Primarily I have worked in the Communications and Telecoms sector for a broad base of clients both in the UK, but also globally working across strategy, business change and large scale transformation programmes. I had the opportunity to work for a ‘start up’ consulting practice for a global software organisation. Here I gained firsthand experience in complex IT programme delivery whilst also helping to shape the practice's capabilities and strategy. I then took these to market with senior executives at some of the largest global Telcos.
Consulting can be hard to pin down due to the variety of clients, roles and challenges I’ve been faced with. However, no two days are the same, which is why I’m very glad I pursued it as a career path. I chose to join Berkeley specifically because of its commitment to always do the right thing by the client, as well as its values of community and collaboration.
When I’m not working I’m usually travelling or making plans to travel. I recently had the opportunity of an extended visit to South East Asia which indulged my interests in photography and food!
