I graduated from York University with a Physics degree, and initially worked as a physics teacher and department head. Seeking a different type of challenge, I became a rocket engineer at British Aerospace before moving to Accenture for a bit more pace and variety. I worked for Accenture in the UK and Canada for eleven years, primarily supporting telecommunications industry clients on a wide range of business and operations support systems and technologies.
In 2011 I joined Berkeley where I have enjoyed the opportunity to work in very different client sectors, including managing retail sales website launches and goods distribution automation systems. Most recently I have been embedded in the marketing team at one of the world’s largest advertisers, leading a global media data programme. I’ve really enjoyed being ‘on the inside’ at our clients, where I can put their interests first.
At home, my partner and I have just adopted two small boys, so our lives and home have undergone a complete transformation. Any past hobbies are currently taking a back seat to making sure that they are settled in. I suspect my favourite new pastime will end up being Peppa Pig.
