I graduated from University College London (UCL) in 2013 with a Starred First Class BSC in Economics. Following a number of investment banking internships, which didn’t quite incite the excitement I was expecting, I decided on Consulting as a reputable career. I saw it as one that would allow me to satiate a keen interest in the way businesses operate, and provide me with the diverse learning environment I craved – I was proved right. After graduating, I joined KPMG, in their CIO Advisory function, working on some significant transformation programmes for high-profile clients from the get go.
I proceeded to spend six and a half years with KPMG building up a strong portfolio of FTSE100 clients, a credible skillset and a network of client contacts across multiple industries. I experienced a multitude of projects, sitting with the CIO and their direct reports to build market-leading technology organisations, ready to thrive. I’d be helping my clients solve a whole range of problems, from archaic systems, project over-spend, poorly resourced organisations through to ineffective processes. I quickly found this work to be not only gratifying, but conducive to a steep learning curve.
I joined The Berkeley Partnership in 2020 looking for an even steeper curve; somewhere that I could really stretch myself and offer even more to my clients. From first submitting my application through to now being a part of the team, Berkeley’s fresh ways of working are evident throughout. The focus on “doing the right thing”, building your colleagues up, and, most importantly, having fun at work shines through.
Outside of work, I’m a music-lover – I enjoy singing, dancing and playing the piano (although my London flat doesn’t allow me the luxury of keeping one at home). Hailing from Sheffield, my love of nature is inherent and whenever I’m back home, you’ll find me hiking in the peaks. I also love food (who doesn’t?), and spend much of my disposable time frequenting new restaurants in London, most likely to make up for my lack of culinary skills at home!
