I graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in Geography in 1999, and seeking variety while I decided what I wanted to do long term with my career, I began my management consultancy career at Accenture. The variety of work which was the initial draw has kept me in consultancy ever since.
My early days at Accenture coincided with the Dot Com boom and I worked on a wide variety of portals and content management systems, predominantly in the Energy Industry, before expanding into mobile technologies, supporting field force initiatives for a number of Utilities clients.
Seeking a new challenge, I joined Berkeley in 2007, attracted by the opportunity to work on a wide variety of assignments for top tier clients, combined with a supportive and fun community of colleagues. Berkeley has exceeded all my expectations – one of my early roles was formulating an HR and Learning Strategy for a Global Oil major, not something I had ever been given the chance to do before with my technical project delivery background! Berkeley’s collaborative approach to working with clients is refreshing and I believe it makes us unique - I love working as part of a client team, offering genuinely independent advice to help them transition through their biggest challenges. I became a Partner in 2014.
Outside of work I love to travel and have managed 2 sabbaticals in recent years, travelling through Central America, Africa and SE Asia. I am also an enthusiastic fly fisher, particularly when it is combined with trips to Central and South America! At home, I love to cook and when I’m not in the kitchen, I’ll probably be at the gym trying to compensate for my food and wine consumption.
