1 Why did you join Berkeley?
I joined Berkeley for two main reasons: the variety of work and its genuinely client-centric approach to consulting.
I moved into consulting to build broad experience across industries and to help organisations tackle their most important challenges. From my very first conversations with Berkeley, it was clear that this mindset is actively encouraged here. From day one, I’d have the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects and clients, rather than being narrowly channeled into a single track. Berkeley values breadth in its consultants’ experience, and that really resonated with me - it’s exactly the environment I was looking for at this stage of my career.
2What's the most important thing you've learned in your career so far?
The importance of working with empathy. Being a great consultant means putting yourself in your client’s shoes and truly understanding the situation they’re facing. Many of the engagements we support happen during complex, high-stakes moments, when expectations are high and pressure is real. Approaching that work with empathy helps build trust, focus on what really matters, and support clients in achieving the outcomes they need.
I’ve also learned the value of knowing when to ask for help. Berkeley is full of bright, experienced consultants who genuinely want to support one another. Tapping into that collective knowledge is a real superpower - it allows me to bring the right expertise to clients at exactly the moments it matters most.
3What are you passionate about in life?
Outside of work, I love to travel with my wife and explore as many places as we can. Recent trips have taken us to Italy and Mexico, and we’re slowly working our way through the islands of the Caribbean. Upcoming big-ticket trips for us include Japan, Argentina, and the Maldives. When I’m not traveling, I’m a big sports fan. You’ll usually find me watching rugby, Formula 1, or American football, depending on the season.
