At Berkeley the importance of a strong stakeholder group with clear governance is at the forefront of what we do. From my very first engagement it was evident that we are put in a role to truly support the client by making sure that the right people are involved and that everyone is clear on their roles and responsibilities. Given many of our engagements have impacts at a country or even global level managing stakeholders and governance is something I’ve learned while at Berkeley.
I chose consulting for two very specific reasons. I realised when I was younger the impact a good consultant can have. Having an opportunity on every project to be able to help clients and their people develop, grow and meet their goals is something very rewarding for me. Additionally, I’ve always liked variety. Whether it is working with different clients, different industries or types of projects consulting provides so many opportunities. There hasn’t been one specific thing I’ve only wanted to do so why not do it all?
