The Women@Berkeley Network

Supporting women to achieve their potential.

A women’s network that enables success

Women@Berkeley is our community-owned network, set up to enable our female consultants and partners to succeed both professionally and personally. We focus on fostering a truly inclusive workplace, where all women can achieve their full potential and have a say in how our firm is run. And because of our structure, size and the support from our partners, we can make changes happen quickly and efficiently. Our partners Jenna Goldstein in the UK and Anne-Lise Antolinos in the US sponsors the network, and we rotate the chair of the group every six months so that everyone can be involved.

We recognise that everyone needs to play their part for change to happen, so we’re open to all. In fact, men are encouraged to take part in select Women@Berkeley Network events so that they can feel better equipped to be allies and champions for women in consulting.

What do we offer?

The network offers our female consultants and partners a community to share their experiences, whether that’s about career progression, balancing work with family life, effective leadership or other topics. Through the network, we offer social and professional networking opportunities, learning and development programmes, internal and external events and mentorship.

This includes:

  • Women’s Leadership Training from the London Business School
  • A female buddy for female new joiners, a part-time working support network, and women's health and financial awareness
  • Yearly events, including celebrating International Women’s Day, hosting Women Connects social events and inviting female external speakers to Berkeley events
  • Our International Women’s Day panel – bringing together women to share their experiences and inspire attendees

Women's mentoring programme

Our women’s mentoring programme is open to everyone. You can choose to be a mentee or a mentor. We offer everyone the chance to be a mentor if they want to, as this programme is about lived experience, not seniority. We match people based on the individual needs and wants of the people involved. The focus is on where you are in your life and creating a shared experience between mentor and mentee. Mentoring is tailored to goals, be they professional or personal, but isn’t rigid in structure and there’s no report at the end. Each mentor is there to support their mentee with whatever success looks like for them.

Supporting networks outside Berkeley

Whether you have a well-developed women's network already or you’re considering setting one up for the first time, we can help. We enjoy bringing together networks to share best practice and ideas, and we can share materials to support you in creating your own groups or women's mentoring programme if needed. Contact us if this could be of help to you or you’d like to know more.
