It is no longer breaking news. Covid-19 upended all of our personal lives, brought unforeseen disruption to businesses, and revealed weaknesses in our system.
The brunt of the containment response falls on the essential workers, especially those on the front lines in hospitals and care homes. We are all individually doing our part to prevent overwhelming the healthcare system. At Berkeley, we believe our business can also contribute to this effort.
It’s important to us that we play a meaningful part in supporting the critical work of our public sector clients who are on the front line. As such we have committed a group of Berkeley resources to provide consulting support where it is most needed, all on a pro-bono basis.
As a result, Berkeley consultants are working with three geographical areas of the NHS across London and the South East to expand Covid-19 testing programmes, support changes to primary and community care in response to Covid-19 and determine how to embed the best elements of the operational and digital changes that Covid-19 has accelerated.
We are also supporting the Strategic Co-ordination Group for London, shaping and rolling out London’s shielding response for vulnerable people at home. Finally we are working with the Post Office to help ensure their retail network remains operational during Covid-19, stabilising the day to day response and shaping the strategy on where to focus resources to best support branch operators.

As we all start to adjust to the new normal and begin to understand the changes it will bring to our ways of working, we are committed to helping our clients at all times.
