1 What do you like most about Berkeley?

What stands out the most is the strong focus on building relationships – both with clients and within the Berkely team. Partners and consultants work side by side with clients, building authentic relationships as they undergo large-scale transformations. This human-centric and people-first mentality is refreshing and creates an environment of trust, where everyone is supportive of each other’s goals. This is a core value and huge aspect of the culture at Berkeley and is something I personally felt immediately upon meeting partners and consultants. 

2What types of engagements excite you the most?

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of engagements – from rapid current state assessments and future-state operating model design to long-term global technology deployments – across many including consumer goods, telecommunications, advertising, media & entertainment and publishing. The common thread that excites me most is the chance to learn or try something new. Foundational knowledge and skills apply across most engagements, but what energizes me learning from the expertise of my clients and team members and expanding my own skillsets and perspectives. 

3What are your values and how have they informed your career?

A value I hold closely - both professionally and personally - is leading with empathy. Actively listening and putting yourself in someone else’s shoes can be incredibly illuminating. It not only positions you to support others more effectively but often teaches you something about yourself or offers a new perspective. I’ve found it easy to apply this empathetic approach in consulting, where a human-first mindset helps me to connect authentically and meaningfully with both my own team and my clients.
