1 Why did you join Berkeley?

I joined Berkeley to work alongside an incredibly talented team on ambitious, legacy-shaping programmes. Throughout my career, I’ve loved helping organisations untangle complex digital puzzles, but I wanted to do it within a firm that genuinely values doing the right thing for the client above all else.

Berkeley’s reputation for high-stakes, high-impact engagements really resonated with me. I wanted an environment where my experience in Data and AI strategy would be trusted, while also giving me the stretch opportunities to grow into a more well-rounded transformation leader. Knowing that Berkeley pairs this high ambition with a supportive, non-hierarchical culture made the decision to join an absolute no-brainer.

2 What types of engagements excited you the most?

I get most excited by engagements that sit at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and human capability - where data strategy directly transforms how an organisation operates. I love the challenge of taking complex, emerging concepts like generative AI or advanced data models and turning them into practical, value-driving realities for clients.

For instance, during my time at a global aerospace and defence company, I acted as the AI Implementation Lead for a UK Government team. I led discovery interviews, mapped out capabilities, and developed a custom Copilot M35 solution to boost their intelligence capability. What made it exciting wasn't just deploying the tech, but upskilling the client team and building tools that were incredibly tailored to the team so they could confidently run with it long after we left. Engagements where I can co-create strategies and see a direct, measurable lift in a team's day-to-day productivity are the ones that truly fuel my passion.

3 Why did you become a management consultant?

With a background in Mechanical Engineering, I've always loved solving intricate problems. However, I quickly realised that I didn't want to be confined to just one technical area. I wanted to see how the pieces fit together across an entire business. Management consulting was the perfect bridge. It allows me to combine my analytical mindset with my fascination for technology and data innovation.

Due to the varied nature of a career in consulting, the work is ever evolving, with no two projects being quite the same. I’ve had the opportunity to work on really impactful projects, from simulating passenger throughput at Heathrow to teaching technical leads how to safely deploy AI at Syngenta. It’s a career where I can continuously learn, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and make a visible difference to major organisations.
