What do you like most about Berkeley?

Berkeley treats you as an individual and will support you to forge the path that will work best for you and your aspirations. I like that there is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach taken to development -  I have found that the partnership take a genuine interest in what is right for you and I think this makes Berkeley unique.

The personal development process is very different to any other performance management process I’ve seen in other companies, which can sometimes feel like a box ticking exercise. Instead, there is a significant amount of time spent discussing your strengths and how you can develop to help you fulfil your full potential.

What's the most important thing you learned at Berkeley?

Berkeley has taught me to always keep an open mind about what assignments I work on. I have found my most interesting assignments may not have immediately appeared so on paper but have turned out to be incredibly fulfilling. I am always surprised at how transferable our core consulting skills can be to different contexts, industries and types of work. Whilst each assignment and client is unique and will need a different approach to suit this, I have learned that it is important to be pushed outside of your comfort zone.

3  Why did you choose your career?

After graduating with a degree in Geography, I wasn’t immediately sure what I wanted to do but was keen to do something that enabled me to build a broad range of skills.

I was attracted to management consultancy as it gave me the opportunity to work across a wide variety of sectors and roles. Over 10 years later and it has certainly not disappointed! I love the fact that each no two days are ever the same and there is so much scope to grow and develop with each assignment.
