Our people have interests and causes they want to support beyond their day-to-day work, so we make every effort to help them achieve this.
As well as providing a Give as You Earn (GAYE) scheme, we offer our staff the opportunity to use up to five days per year to provide pro-bono consulting support for our chosen charities or for their own chosen cause. This includes activities such as strategy development, organisational design, operating model definition, technology strategy, programme planning and executive coaching. We regularly host events and workshops to support positive social action and some of our people are trustees on the boards of our chosen charities and social enterprises.
We regularly undertake fund-raising activities. In recent years Berkeley teams have participated in the Tough Mudder, walked the Three Peaks Challenge, played fund raising concerts such as the ‘Berkeley Beatles’, and held several rounds of charity ‘Come Dine with Me’ events. Most recently a Berkeley team completed a fund raising Jurassic Coast Marathon in aid of Care International, a charity focused on improving the lives of women and girls who are denied basic human rights.
The organisation's vision is to create a future where lasting work is a reality for those affected by homelessness. It’s charity that supports London’s homeless people get back to work through an Employment Academy, integrated with a flourishing private members club in the heart of Soho at no.1 Greek Street.
Berkeley first became involved with the House of St. Barnabas in 2006; since then through pro-bono support, we have helped the House transform itself into a flourishing social enterprise, and helped develop new revenue streams.
The Berkeley Partnership are part of the life blood of The House of St Barnabas and have played a major part in our success to date and I hope will continue to do so for many years to come…..we are indebted to Berkeley.

Launched in 2013, Step up to Serve aims to double the number of young people aged 10-20 taking part in social action. A strategic, long-term, cross-sector transformation initiative, to unlock the potential of youth social action across the business, education and voluntary sectors.
Berkeley has been involved with Step up to Serve since early 2014; helping the leadership team and Trustees define the overall campaign strategy, their delivery plan and organisation structure.
I can’t express strongly enough how much the support from The Berkeley Partnership has helped our campaign get underway. They have been amazing helping us shape our strategy, facilitating sessions with key stakeholders and providing structure and support for our work.

Toast Ale was formed in January 2016 and brews award-winning beer using unsold loaves and unused crusts. There’s a fresh slice of surplus fresh bread in every bottle and all the profits go to the charity ‘Feedback’ to fight food waste. Toast sells UK-wide and have begun an exciting drive to take their beer to a global audience – already in New York, Cape Town and Iceland.
Berkeley provided pro bono support to Toast Ale in 2017, helping them in selecting systems to support their ambitious growth plans. Berkeley helped them to progress with new systems for CRM, supply chain, EDI and integration with their finance system.
Berkeley’s insight and support has been invaluable at a critical time at Toast. They’ve really helped in shaping our thinking about how we can grow with our brand.

UK Youth is the leading national youth work charity; offering support, advice and training to equip young people via a network of youth organisations across the UK.

The vision of Youth United Foundation is to help ensure every young person regardless of background or location has the opportunity to become a member of a uniformed youth group. The charity helps to achieve this by increasing the number of adult volunteers supporting member organisations, increasing opportunities for young people to join a uniformed youth organisation, attracting funding and making better use of resources through collaboration.
Founded in 2009, ZING supports organisations who work with young people in challenging circumstances. It provides investment, connections and access to technology expertise to early stage youth impact organisations.
Berkeley has helped organise and facilitate ZING Forums, bringing partners together to discuss shared challenges and identify further ways to support each other. We have also worked directly with ZING’s supported charities.
Berkeley have played an invaluable part in supporting ZING in meeting its goals over its first three years of operation.
