Why did you join Berkeley?

I’ve always loved consulting and been passionate about helping clients achieve their goals. The Berkeley way of working lets me focus on delivering complex projects and giving clients real value rather than worrying about sales targets and constantly pursuing promotion. Ultimately, this leads to the best possible outcomes for clients, which is what really matters to me.

What’s the most important thing you've learned at Berkeley?

It’s okay to ask for help. In fact, it’s often the right thing to do. Not knowing the answer isn’t an issue at Berkeley as the broad experience and skillsets across the consultant and partner community mean someone can always help. The willingness of the community to engage and provide support when someone asks for help is truly amazing. There’s no question too difficult, and no problem too complex.

3  Why did you become a management consultant?

When I left university, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I spent a couple of years trying different things before realising what I was passionate about was solving problems. Consulting felt like a natural fit and an industry where I could continue to find variety in the work I was doing. Since then, I’ve been proven right, and have supported clients with varying challenges around regulatory change, IT optimisation, op model evolution and delivering complex transformation. The continued variety and the constantly changing landscape keep me excited about being a consultant.
