1 Why did you join Berkeley?

I joined Berkeley as I was looking to leverage my transformation leadership skillset across a wider variety of industries. I was also eager to be a part of a smaller team where I could tangibly see my impact on the business, while developing tight-knit relationships with my colleagues and clients. Berkeley’s flat structure was appealing given the opportunity and personal growth I could envision with more consistent exposure to senior client leadership and full ownership of complex programs. Berkeley has been a great fit for me as I was looking for a new challenge to expand the breadth of my experience in a dynamic, engaging environment alongside a team of inspiring, supportive peers. 

2What core value or approach do you use to help clients achieve their aspirations?  

I try to focus on intentional listening when supporting my clients. Though leveraging best practice from prior experiences helps inform the work, there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer that creates lasting change and transformation. Actively seeking understanding of the nuances of client’s most complex challenges often gets to quicker, more tangible outcomes. And as a result of feeling heard, I think clients are more receptive to being challenged to think more boldly and ambitiously about their objectives.  

3What might people be interested in knowing about you? 

I studied Japanese from the ages of 5 to 21 through school and now am learning to speak Italian in New York. I love the challenge of learning something new and have especially enjoyed being back in a classroom setting as an adult. I lived with a host family in Florence, Italy for a summer during university and go back as often as I can to visit them and practice my language skills.
