1 Why did you join Berkeley?

In a highly competitive industry, where there are many players, Berkeley instantly felt different. A job ad initially caught my interest which then grew and grew through the interview process as I met a set of incredibly thoughtful, ambitious and strategic individuals who personified Berkeley’s ethos

The culture, one that is built on trust, support and genuine investment in its people, coupled with the opportunity to stretch myself into roles across the transformation lifecycle, in new industries, and focused on an array of complex client challenges, represented an exciting next step in my career.

2What core value or approach do you use to help clients achieve their aspirations?

In every piece of work I deliver I always try to refer back to first principles thinking and to really dig in to the “why”. On the face of it this may seem an obvious approach but, in my experience, particularly on large scale pieces of work, the strategic objective can often become lost in the minutiae of day-to-day delivery.

By working with the client to continually question the purpose of the direction being pursued, this can help provide the necessary “checks and balances” to ensure all effort is directed towards the ultimate desired outcomes.

3What  might people be interested in knowing about you?

I’m a keen runner! You’ll often find me waxing lyrical on the mental and physical benefits running (or any exercise) can provide. I have had a long-standing family rivalry with my Dad, who was a keen runner in his day and ran the London Marathon in 1990, in a time I had never been able to match. I finally managed to crack it in the 2025 London Marathon…at the 4th time of asking!

Coincidentally, I can also now call myself a Guinness World Record holder, as I (and 56,000 others), represented the largest number of finishers in a Marathon ever. And I have the certificate to prove it!
