1What’s different about Berkeley for you?
Berkeley is somewhere where there is a high value placed on developing genuine personal connections, alongside trusted professional relationships. This is evident by the number and breadth of opportunities created for socializing with colleagues; there really is something to cater for everyone’s interests! The inclusive and collaborative culture that stem from this make Berkeley feel like a truly unique place to work.
Having started my career with a much larger consulting organization, it’s also refreshing to be in an environment that is intentionally free of red tape and barriers to being able to just focus day to day on doing what is absolutely in the best interest of our clients.
2What types of engagements excite you the most?
Large scale transformations are perhaps what I find most exciting, it feels very rewarding to be part of making big change happen for clients and helping them achieve a fundamental shift in their business.
The opportunity to support clients across a variety of industries, with a multitude of complex, challenging and often time critical problems – where each problem is unique based on the landscape they are operating within – makes my work as a consultant very diverse and interesting, regardless of the type of engagement.
3What might people be interested in knowing about you?
I recently started renovating my first home, a very unloved Victorian terraced house, and am attempting as much of the work as possible myself – from taking down walls, chimney breasts and installing steel beams to fitting soundproofing insulation and underfloor heating. It’s been a fantastic learning experience but also an incredibly messy one!
When I’m not ‘on site’, I can normally be found either out and about with my little toy poodle Rupert, in the kitchen trying out some middle eastern recipes (a passion that started in lockdown!), or planning my next holiday given that travel and exploring different cultures is a real passion of mine.
