1 What did you join Berkeley?
I’ve spent most of my career in Financial Services, so the chance to work with a wider range of clients across different industries really stood out to me. What I like about Berkeley is the way consultants are encouraged to take on new challenges and apply their experience in areas that might be unfamiliar. That kind of variety really appeals to me as I continue to grow my skills and broaden my industry knowledge. I also really value how Berkeley consultants work closely with client teams, building strong partnerships and focusing on shared success. The emphasis on trust and collaboration is a great fit with how I like to work.
2What's the most important thing you’ve learned in your career so far?
The most important thing I’ve learned in my career so far is the value of being adaptable and building genuine relationships. Things can change quickly in any job, so being able to adjust, pick up new skills, and take feedback on board has made a big difference. Just as important is connecting with people. Building strong relationships with teammates, clients, and managers creates trust, makes collaboration easier, and helps when challenges come up. Work is so much more effective, and enjoyable, when you’ve got good people around you and open, honest communication. For me, staying flexible and focusing on people has opened doors, helped me grow, and made each role more rewarding.
3What are your values and how have they informed your career?
Early in my career, I had the privilege of working for an inspirational leader who believed in servant leadership and the ethos of doing the right things, the right way and for the right reasons. These principles left a lasting impression on me and have shaped my professional journey. So it’s no surprise that Berkeley’s core value of “doing the right thing” deeply resonated with me.
To me, being a servant leader means putting others first, leading with empathy, and listening before acting. This philosophy guides how I approach my relationships and collaboration with both clients and colleagues. It also reinforces my commitment to integrity in both my personal and professional life.
