Berkeley is different because the people are really at the center of the company. Our flat structure is a completely different way of working. Collaboration over competition helps to create a truly dynamic environment that benefits your own growth while also adding more value to the client. It’s amazing to see everyone in the firm buy into this model and really help to push each other on.
The most exciting projects are the ones that challenges me every day. Meaningful work isn’t just about fixing an immediate problem but planning strategically for the long term and helping clients realize that vision. This involves really immersing yourself in an organization and developing a trusted relationship with the client to get to a point where you are seen as a valued member of the team and not just another consultant.
Like a lot of people when they leave university, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I was keen to be involved in a varied job that allowed me to meet a wide range of people and help in meaningful ways, but I had no idea where I could find such an opportunity.
I very luckily stumbled across consulting, and I couldn’t have made a better choice. It has allowed me to develop skills and experiences across technology and workstream delivery (something I never imagined I would enjoy) as well as meet diverse and exciting people who I have learned so much from.
