1What’s different about Berkeley for you?
I was initially attracted to Berkeley by the variety of work, lack of hierarchy and balance between autonomy and partner support – and how positive the consultants I spoke to were about life here! Berkeley’s tailored approach to personal development and the collaborative, open and positive culture were also a big draw for me.
2What types of engagements excite you the most?
Having spent most of my career working across various sectors, services and geographies there’s no one type of project that really excites me – fundamentally I enjoy anything that involves solving complex problems at the top of clients’ strategic priorities, and delivering real measurable impact.
3Why did you become a management consultant?
Having gotten halfway through an English Literature degree with no obvious career plans I decided to apply for an internship at a Big Four. Once there I found that I enjoyed the problem-solving, variety and analytical rigor of consulting. Fast forward a decade and the same things that drew me to it then still hold true; I can’t really think of another career that offers the same level of challenge, breadth or development and I continue to find it stretching and rewarding today.
